Job Purpose and Impact

The Production Supervisor will lead all production and operations processes by being responsible for the operations program and leading an engaged team that will execute business deliverables. In this role, you will ensure that safety, quality, cost, delivery objectives are met in a healthy working environment. Key Accountabilities

Operate or directly supervise the operation of the entire production line, direct all staff during shifts including contract workers

Monitor and maintain appropriate shift security requirements to ensure staff safety.

Monitor and maintain quality to ensure products meet required standards.

Provide staff training on relevant environmental health and safety requirements to ensure all staff are trained in accordance with regulations.

Responsible for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance and disciplinary actions for your direct reports. You will also spend time completing the same tasks as employees on your team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in a related field (in Management) or equivalent experience

Minimum of one year of directly related work experience

Accustomed to working in a manufacturing environment, and able to move around the plant.

Experience in health and safety

Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel

Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of animal health, agriculture or food industry

One year of supervisory experience

Experience in continuous improvement

Minimum of two years of experience in production

Knowledge of SAP
