As the Clinical Facilitator you will provide clinical education, supervision and support to undergraduate nursing students undertaking clinical placement in the Hospital from approved tertiary institutions.

Working in collaboration with Nurse Unit Managers, trained Preceptors and Educators, provide a high standard of support and clinical teaching and assessment in accordance with the requirements and provisions of the undergraduate program.

Expectations of this role is to work Monday and Tuesday each week with the 5th day of the fortnight in collaboration with the Nurse educator.

Skills & experience required for this Clinical Facilitator – Students opportunity

To be successful you will have experience as a Senior Nurse, be an organised and efficient professional with advanced skills in nursing assessment and highly developed clinical problem-solving skills. You will be a positive role model with a natural ability to mentor and support staff with an innovative approach to education delivery. You have a passion for patient care and a high standard of customer-focused service.

You will also demonstrate;

• Relevant nursing registration with AHPRA
• Minimum two (2) years’ experience in an acute hospital setting
• Postgraduate qualifications in a nursing field or clinical education are highly desirable.
• Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment will be essential.
• Previous experience in an education/preceptor role advantageous
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team and independently where required
• Strong understanding of basic computer skills including the Microsoft Office Suite.
