About the Opportunity
As a Testing Assistant, you will support (with multiple partners) the RadX Testing Initiative strategies and activities to increase availability and uptake of SARS CoV-2 testing among West Virginians. This project also seeks to test whether or not our implemented strategies successfully increase testing, and if not, to determine why the interventions did not work so as to inform future testing policy. You will work with the regional team to provide testing support to the areas that need them the most as the pandemic modifies in different areas over time.
This position will be based in the southern region of WV (McDowell/Wyoming/Raleigh/Fayette/Mingo). You will travel to sites within your designated region and provide expanded testing strategies, through additional testing and staffing at clinical sites. You will also conduct SARS CoV-2 testing though use of mobile units, in partnership with the West Virginia National Guard.

What you’ll do:
Provide SARS CoV-2 testing as needed in their region by assisting clinical teams, mobile units, and community testing events.
Work with partners to conduct testing at events in region based on the state needs identified by the RadX Testing Initiative.
Work closely and cooperatively with PIs, Director, leadership team and staff to meet testing requirement and project documentation.
Qualifications
High School Diploma OR an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.
A minimum of one (1) year of related experience.
High degree of creativity and self-motivation.
Substantial ability to work both independently and cooperatively with others.
Ability to recognize when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.
Ability to developing and managing relationships with diverse communities and individuals.
Skilled at building and maintaining positive relationships.
Skilled at operating effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment & meet deadlines.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as program solicitations, form instructions, manuals, etc.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Able to identify deadlines and schedule work to ensure that deadlines are met.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience conducting SARS CoV-2 testing.
