Moree Plains Shire Council is seeking a highly motivated individual to work with the Finance Team.
About the role
The Accounting Officer -Revenue will be required to provide supervision and leadership of the customer service section by ensuring prompt, efficient and effective service to external and internal customers of Moree Plains Shire Council to achieve a satisfactory outcome to all matters raised.
This position will also be responsible for the management of rates and water billing operations in addition to other revenue functions.
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2020.

About you
The preferred applicant will hold qualifications at a minimum of a Diploma level in Finance, Commerce or Accounting (or related discipline) and have extensive experience in local government finance (or equivalent commercial experience).
It is also essential that you are self-motivated, with an ability to work both as a team member and unsupervised with excellent leadership skills which allow for the supervision of a multi-disciplinary team.
