Business Analyst

Careerlink People Solutions are seeking an experienced Business Analyst available for immediate start, working with a well-known South Australian government department.

This contract role is being offered until 31 March 2023, with the possibility of extension subject to business requirements.

• Understanding the Project Management Framework and its application to the different project types
• Workshopping and documenting detailed requirements for the different project types with business stakeholders and vendor resources
• Working with business SMEs and vendor resources to translate the detailed requirements for each project type into configuration of the new software system and then reviewing configuration designs and specifications
• Defining interface requirements and reviewing interface designs and specifications
• Defining reporting requirements and reviewing reporting design and specifications
• Supporting definition of integration testing requirements and testing
• Preparation and planning User Acceptance testing requirements, including writing test plans, data entry and supporting testing activities
• Supporting activities for system implementation, including data entry

• Mid-level BA with 2 – 5 years’ experience
• Confident self-starter with experience and ability to hit the ground running and work with limited direction and supervision
• Strong experience and ability to elicit and detailed document requirements from business stakeholders with limited exposure to project management frameworks and software systems
• Strong experience working with business stakeholders and vendors to translate business requirements and configure COTS products, ideally with Project Management software
• Experience with performing testing and implementation activities with vendors and business stakeholders to support software system implementation
• Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing and work well within a team environment
• Experience with MS Teams and SharePoint and ideally, experience using Enterprise Architect for process mapping

• Current valid National Police Check, or willingness to obtain one
