Full Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: Perform a variety of general tasks in the accounting department

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

• Daily entry of Freight invoices from the Logistics Department
• Assist AP with verification of invoice entry
• Organize and manage all entered invoices or documents to be paid
• Manage weekly check processing documents to ensure the checks are signed and mailed out in a timely manner
• Manage all documents such as weekly filing, weekly scanning and re-naming files
• Assist in month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing.
• Assist with quarterly and year-end audits.
• Other various accounting projects and tasks as needed.

COMPETENCIES:

• High School Degree or higher
• Excel skills and exposure to automated accounting systems
• Strong attention to detail, highly organized, computer literate.
• Ability to work well in a fast paced professional environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills.

Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
