Career Moves, LLC Hiring for Accounting Manager Job at Cromwell, CT Full Time

The Accounting Manager will work closely with the Corporate Controller. The ideal applicant should be energetic, detail oriented and a team player. Ultimately, the position is designed to prepare monthly consolidated financial statements, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and provide analysis to the Corporate Controller.

MAJOR FOCUS AREAS:

· Produce monthly consolidated GAAP financial statements

· Reconcile balance sheet accounts for multiple entities on a monthly basis

· Reconcile cash and credit card transactions to general ledger

· Manage multiple members of accounting staff (A/R, A/P & Billing clerks) and maintain appropriate internal controls

· Provide financial analysis to Corporate Controller (i.e. balance sheet and P&L flux explanations)

· Prepare and provide backup for annual financial statement audit to outside accounting firm

· Complete ad-hoc projects assigned by Corporate Controller

QUALIFICATIONS:

· BS in Accounting, Finance or similar field required

· Proven work experience within an accounting department

· Strong analytical skills and the willingness to provide analysis to Corporate Controller

· Excellent computer skills are essential, including Microsoft Office applications

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel – ability to create formulas, utilize vlookup, create pivot tables, etc.

· Exceptional verbal and written communication, organizational and problem solving skills

· Ability to work well in a team environment

Pay: $85,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
