Our client is an international law firm considered to be one of the leading firms in the UK for Private Equity, they are now looking for a motivated and adaptable Graduate Recruitment & Development Manager to join their growing team at their London offices on an 18-month fixed term contract.
The Graduate Recruitment & Development Manager will be responsible for managing the Graduate Recruitment & Development function and supervising a team of three. Working in partnership with the Training Principal and Graduate Recruitment Partners to recruit, develop and retain the best talent while delivering on key projects and providing an excellent service to the business.
The key duties will include:
Overseeing, implementing and developing the Graduate Recruitment strategy to ensure the firm attracts and recruits the best talent and is keeping up to date with market trends.
Overseeing and support the Graduate Recruitment & Development Advisors with the day-to-day running of the attraction, recruitment and selection of trainees.
Working with the DEI Manager and HR Director, oversee the various diversity programmes in place, and lead on ways in which the firm can enhance its ability to attract and recruit a diverse pool of trainees.
Overseeing the development of current trainees, monitoring performance, and proactively deal with any issues in addition to supporting trainees with any wellbeing matters.
Overseeing the implementation of the SQE.
Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Graduate Recruitment & Development Advisor and Graduate Recruitment & Development Assistant.
Responsible for guiding, coaching and developing junior team members.
Overseeing the onboarding and induction of new trainees, the overseas & home seat allocation processes and end of seat appraisal process for trainees.
The Graduate Recruitment & Development Manager will have experience working in a Graduate Recruitment function in a law firm, with a full understanding of the processes involved in trainee recruitment and development. It is essential to have experience of managing a team and developing and implementing initiatives that deliver on agreed business outcomes. The right candidate will have the ability to engage and build relationships with people at all levels across the firm. The Graduate Recruitment & Development Manager will have the ability to work under pressure, possess strong organisational and presentation skills and have a good knowledge of MS Office & IT tools.
