Role – Software Engineer

Location – Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane; Secondary Preference: Perth, Adelaide

Position- Contract (12 Months + Possible Extension up to 3 years)

Position Description:

The purpose of this Job Description is to indicate the general level of responsibility for the position. The duties may vary from time to time without changing the general character of level of responsibility of this position.

Position Overview:

This role is responsible for the development and maintenance of critical applications across with Client and will work as part of a team that develops, maintains and supports software and systems produced by the Client. You will develop new features endeavoring to always improve our products and product architecture.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Develop solutions with product developers and business units; continuously raising the bar in software and applications design
• Analyze user needs and work with colleagues to ensure the quality and performance of the system
• Innovate in the design of new software, product enhancements and system architecture
• Collaborate internally and externally on cross-functional projects using your technical talent to make things happen
• Seeking out better ways to do things and bringing your ideas to the table
• Continuous process improvement of software development and release practices and procedures to ensure they are of a consistently high standard and meet the requirements of the ISO 9001: 2008 Quality Management System standard
• Mentor and share knowledge with colleagues

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
• 3 + years’ experience using C++, C, Linux
• Real time application and UI/UX development experience
• Experience in enterprise applications particularly in Clinical or Health environments (desirable)
