The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) department is a small but agile team looking to add a DEI Education Specialist to assist with the execution and measurement of the organization’s DEI-specific learning programs. While the role will primarily focus on eLearning, the DEI Education Specialist will leverage their experiences to design and develop robust curricula using multiple forms of media to address current and future training needs in the diversity and inclusion space. The DEI Education Specialist will also foster relationships with key stakeholders to help build learning solutions that address identified areas of improvement.
Responsibilities:

• Design and develop DEI learning materials for a variety of target audiences.
• Author fully interactive eLearning courses using Articulate Storyline 360.
• Assist in the production and delivery of other DEI learning assets, including Vyond animations, tip sheets/how-to-guides, etc.
• Prepare relevant DEI learning materials for inclusion in the LMS, SharePoint, and other channels.
• Contribute to the planning and communication of all DEI learning experiences.
• Help to assess instructional effectiveness and determine the impact of DEI-specific learning programs on employee skills and KPIs.
• Support the overall DEI learning strategy and be an active participant in DEI-related activities.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years’ experience designing, developing, and implementing learning assets and programs for adult audiences, preferably with a DEI focus.
• Knowledge of learning management systems, instructional design, training delivery methods, and related measurement and assessment best practices.
• Direct experience developing eLearning courses using course authoring tools, preferably Articulate 360.
• Demonstrated interest or participation in the diversity, equity, and inclusion space.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Strong interpersonal team building skills with an ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Strong project management skills and an ability to multitask effectively and prioritize work efforts.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to overcome difficult challenges and take accountability for actions and results.
• Open to candidates who live in any of the 30 Eastern NY state counties within our coverage area.
