We’re excited to offer a brand new role as a HR Analyst which provides the opportunity to lead the development of a new analytics system in addition to having a strong influence on how the university understands data to support strategic decision making. As our HR Analyst, you’ll have the opportunity to identify and use the right technologies to help improve our understanding of current and emerging workforce issues.
As a key, strategic role within the People Analytics team, you will work closely with the HRMS Manager to create and develop our People Analytics Strategy moving us from descriptive to predictive information. Through data stories that engage our audience and enable decision making, you’ll be able to communicate insights that deliver real value to our customers.
As our HR Analyst, your other key activities will include:
Engage and collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to understand their people data requirements and having reviewed their needs, put in place effective solutions
Lead on the design, implementation and configuration of reporting software
Design, build and maintain a suite of standard reports and dashboards that enables business decision making
Analysis and interpretation of data to determine the root cause of current and emerging workforce issues, to drive improvement and innovation across the organisation
What you’ll bring – essential experience & strengths
As an inquisitive thinker with strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills, you will have experience of using a variety of data tools, programmes and sources to extract, blend and visualise data for different audiences. You’ll be able to create and present standard and bespoke reports with confidence, demonstrating skill when presenting information to different audiences from the top-level committees to managers and support areas.
With experience of using SAP BusinessObjects, SAP Analytics Cloud and/or Cognos BI, you’ll be able to provide data preparation, modelling, forecasting, projections with a high level of accuracy.
Preferably you’ll have experience of implementing an analytics system with the abilty to improve processes and data integrity. You will be an enthusiastic and friendly professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience.
