Cardiff and Vale University Health Board Hiring for Wales Genomics Education and Training Lead Job at Cardiff, Wales Full Time

The All Wales Medical Genomics Service are looking for an enthusiastic All Wales Genomics Education Lead. This person will sit within the small Training Team within AWMGS who reports to the Directorate Management Team, but their working remit will be supporting the service with mainstreaming Genomics outside of AWMGS. This role will work closely with Genomics Partnership Wales and support the service in reaching out to NHS colleagues and facilitate the upskilling of education for future service users. The role will involve working flexibly for 37.5 hours per week on a full time, permanent contract.

The main focus of this role will be liaising with the wider NHS workforce (outside AWMGS) in relation to the levels of understanding of Genomics. The role holder will be involved in facilitation of discussion and taking these discussions forward with support from wider colleagues. The successful candidate will be working closely the mainstreaming lead within Clinical Genetics and the GPW Workforce and Training Group. It is envisaged that the role may link with post graduate education centres across Wales and creating links to access wider staff groups.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
