This position can work remote for a portion of the time, the other portion this position will report to Corporate Office in San Marcos,TX or the Satellite office in Round Rock, TX .

JOB SUMMARY: This is a GL position, you will spend your time working in the GL. The Staff Accountant will report directly to the VP of Finance/Controller and will be responsible for performing account reconciliations, assisting with budget and close processes and conducting internal audits. You must fully understand the inner workings of a Balance Sheet as well as a P&L. Must enjoy being in the General Ledger. Full Cycle Accounting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• 1-3 years of general ledger experience
• Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
• Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processes.
• Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Must be deadline driven.
• Must respond to information requests timely.
• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Sage Intacct experience a plus.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Strong analytical skills.
• Good problem-solving and time management skills.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have 1-3 years of General Ledger experience

• Accounting degree is required
• Must have 5+ years of previous Accounting experience
• Strong attention to detail.
• Advanced computer knowledge, including Microsoft (Word, Excel)
• Good written and verbal communication skills
