About the Role

This position is responsible for providing high quality software support to external and internal customers, through various forms of communication and training. It also incorporates the development and maintenance of software programs and associated databases used in the estimating and fabrication of Capral window and door systems.

Key Tasks:

• Answer helpdesk support queries and provide accurate and useful information in the resolution of customer software issues
• Develop a thorough knowledge of software programs and associated databases
• Record all customer activity in Customer Contact Database and or Helpdesk database
• Provide necessary documentation and installation packs including set up and training for new users
• Provide training and support via online “Capral Shadow” program, and face to face training as per the Training schedule
• Be involved in the ongoing development, design and maintenance of the software programs as assigned to you by the manager of the role
• Provide system support and technical proofing for TSG and other parts of the business
• Participate in Software team meetings
• Develop computing and database skills through training as required
• Other tasks as required.

Essential Criteria:

• Proven ability to understand or be capable of developing skills in Algebra
• Strong problem solving capabilities, administration and communication skills
• Computer literacy, with strong skills in Microsoft Office
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to assist customers in software functionality
• Ability to work alone and as a member of a team
• Effective time management skills with the ability to establish routines and observe deadlines
• Professional attitude with a high level of personal presentation.

Desirable

• Experience in V6, Logikal or similar estimating packages
• Qualifications in business analysis
• An understanding of the building industry and or associated industries
• Experience in the manufacture of windows and doors
• Basic budget and strategic planning skills, for the short, medium and long term
• Experience estimating within the manufacturing industry.
