About the role

The Accounts Receivable Officer role will be part of a motivated and highly energetic team who are focused on an accurate billing and timely recovery of debtors.

The role will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Supporting the Accounts Receivable team with the collection of debtors including Medicare, Private Patients and Third Parties.
• Matching bank receipts to our Radiology Information System (RIS).
• Investigating and assisting in resolving any payment disputes with customers.
• Following up outstanding items with customers.
• Preparing refund documentation, when appropriate.
• Liaising with customers, insurance companies and internal shareholders regularly.
• Preparing weekly/monthly reports including ageing debtors to the head of finance and CFO

About You

You will be a self-starter with and a proven ability to work independently and use initiative. Furthermore, you are a strong communicator who can influence without authority to ensure relevant stakeholders are engaged and adhere to company deadlines.

You will also have;

• Demonstrated experience in a similar role in a corporate environment.
• Experience with bulk billing to Medicare and working with a RIS systems being either Karisma, Comrad, Occum, etc.
• Experience using other systems such Eclipse, Lantern Pay and Coupa would also be considered valuable.
• Intermediate to Advance skills in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to prioritise work
• High level attention to detail along with solid problem-solving skills
• Focus on high quality work and improvements
• Positive and solution oriented
• A Tertiary qualification in accounting or finance (or studying a relevant degree) would be a plus.
