As a Software Engineer within Tech College, you’ll be part of a team responsible for designing, developing and implementing engaging learning experiences and solutions that will fuel our growth as a Tech company and help our associates develop cutting-edge skills.

Tech College Position Overview:

As a Software Engineer for Tech College, you’ll be responsible for developing applications and tools that support and enhance Technology Learning at Capital One. You’ll work closely with Product Owners to ensure all products align with Tech College initiatives.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about software craftsmanship and staying up to date with industry trends and enjoys being hands on technically. You’ll work with a team of engineers, designers, and learning specialists to develop products that will fuel our growth as a Tech company and help our associates develop cutting-edge skills.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the engineering team to create new applications and support existing platforms

• Deliver code that complies with enterprise quality standards and conventions

• Be an active member of the learning community; either as a student or by supporting trainings

• Remediate and improve code to deliver strong, quality products

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree

• At least 2 years of experience in Software Engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree

• 3+ years of experience in at least one of the following: Javascript/Typescript, Python, Angular/React.js, or Node.js

• 1+ years of experience in Agile practices

• 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another public cloud service
