What You’ll Do:

• Work with a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full stack systems

• Perform software development on Front End Applications leveraging a test-driven development pattern

• Own the technical design and development of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems

• Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, and mentoring other members of the engineering community

• Collaborate with digital product managers, and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment

• Utilize programming languages like JavaScript (Angular, React, Node), HTML/CSS, TypeScript and Java, open source frameworks, RESTful web services, and work on cross-browser and cross-device development

Our Enterprise Data teams are making significant investments towards building out the infrastructure and data processing pipelines required to stitch data from across the Capital One enterprise. We are creating purpose-built data products which need to be served up with sub second response times for storage and retrieval of operational data across several Lines of Business (LOBs).

Currently, our application connects to OneStream, where it ingests data and appropriately stores it in a corresponding DynamoDB table. In this role, the software developer will help the application team to onboard our self-serve platform called Exchange. This individual will partner with the Exchange team and will develop the appropriate UI screens and corresponding APIs and Microservices. This will help our customers move away from the current manual onboarding process and will ensure a great self-serve user experience.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree

• At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not apply)

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service

• 1+ years experience with Scala

• 1+ years experience using CICD tools

• 2+ years of experience in open source frameworks

• 2+ years of experience in Agile practices

• 2+ years of experience developing, deploying, and testing in AWS architecture

• 3+ years of professional work experience with full stack development in at least one of the following: Angular, React, Java, or Python

• 7+ years experience developing software solutions to solve business problems
