Senior Software Engineer*

Software Development activities within an Agile Scrum team, working across the complete software development lifecycle: requirements capture, software analysis, design, code, test, deployments and live support

Carrying out development activities in accordance with the agreed requirements and development standards. Designing solutions which are performant, supportable and maintainable, all following development best practices.

Testing of products in accordance with the defined Test Strategy to ensure they are fit for purpose.

Assisting the team in reviewing work packages and providing estimations for the completion of allocated work packages

Completion of allocated work packages within the agreed time, quality and cost criteria; providing progress reports as required

Management and control of issues and incidents (problem analysis, investigation and resolution

) within their area of responsibility, including negotiation with other team members and escalation, as necessary, to senior team members or leadership team.

Playing an active part in Process Improvement, awareness of and compliance with all relevant governance, risk, security and quality, policies, processes and procedures, including completion of all specified records to ensure compliance.

Data Engineering Concepts: Specific knowledge and experience of Data Solutions development addressing Data Extraction, Transformation & Load (ETL) (Talend)

Agile Concepts: Specific knowledge and experience of Agile Methodologies, Concepts, Principles and Practices. Experience in Agile Delivery Teams using the Agile Scrum methodology
