Job Overview
CAPA seeks applicants for an opportunity to gain experience within the rewarding field of US study abroad as a seasonal Program and Student Services Assistant. This seasonal entry level role supports students from colleges and universities across the United States, ensuring they have the best possible experience while studying for one term of their degree at our premier study centre located in South Kensington.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and compile information and documents for the Program and Student Services team
• Keep digital calendars up to date

• Produce information in visually appealing ways to showcase in the London centre, e.g. posters, digital screen displays, etc.
• Attend student events and activities within London or the UK, engaging with the students and helping them make the most of their experiences. These may take place in the evenings or on weekends.
• Greet students at the reception desk as part of a rota, making students feel welcome and answering any queries they might have
• Assist lecturers with classroom equipment or other queries as needed.
• Assist and support the Program and Student Services team with whatever may arise – this may include acting as a second set of eyes and ears and taking minutes/completing reports for student advising meetings, various administrative tasks, researching new activities and venues, organising hospitality for centre-based events, and more. The key is to be flexible, enthusiastic, and ready to take on anything!

Qualifications and skills

• You must have the established right to work in the UK. We cannot consider candidates who do not have this so please be clear in your cover letter that you already have this right to work.
• Excellent customer services skills and a strong interest and ability to work with people, particularly university students.
• Flexibility with hours and days of work to accommodate program components.

• Ability to think on your feet and manage the unexpected, particularly when supporting student activities.
• A high level of thoroughness, accuracy, and consistency in your work
• Highly computer literate – experience with Canva, Excel and PowerPoint would be beneficial
• A good knowledge of London, and a passion for showcasing the best of the city to students

Hours:
This is a full time role located primarily at our London study centre, although occasional work from home is available, and activities take place around London. Hours may vary each week depending on the program calendar of events but are typically Monday – Friday 9:00am-5:30pm.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £27,000.00 per year
