POSITION SUMMARY:
The Wardrobe Assistant is a key behind-the-scenes role at Rogers Arena, preparing our event staff with uniforms and equipment for each hockey game, concert, and other events. This position is responsible for providing best in class service to event staff employees, while maintaining the Rogers Arena wardrobe room, wardrobe inventory, and equipment. This is a part-time, hourly, events-based position.
This role will focus on:
Providing proactive, best-in-class service to all event staff, providing them with uniform pieces and equipment required for each Canucks home game and concert event
Managing inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained and replenished when required
Monitoring all equipment housed in the wardrobe room (e.g. flashlights, radios etc.) and ensure all are fully stocked and in working order prior to each event
Maintaining records of uniforms assigned and returned in the HRIS system
Ensuring efficient, tidy and well-organized wardrobe room and inventory
Taking proactive steps to improve efficiencies and find cost savings in uniform distribution processes
Preparing and delivering necessary communication to staff on all wardrobe related information
Coordinating maintenance of uniforms, including repairs and cleaning
Following up on items checked out in the previous nights’ event to ensure their return and follow up with employees as needed
Administering the uniform deposit reclaim process for uniforms not returned
Providing support and relief to the People department as required
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma; ideal position for a post-secondary student
Positive, energetic, friendly team player, with a can-do attitude
Excels at providing not just good customer service, but best in class service
Extremely organized and does not compromise on ensuring an efficient, tidy workspace
Motivated by a busy, fast-paced environment
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Must be able to stand for periods of time and lift up to approximately 35 pounds
Must be available to work frequent evenings and weekends; shifts are based on the event schedule and begin mid to late afternoon running through the event and up to 1-2 hours post event; daytime shifts may also be required
Experience with inventory databases and working knowledge of MS Word and Excel is an asset
