Description An exciting opportunity is available at Canterbury and District Preschool. We are currently looking to employ an inspirational, passionate and experienced early childhood educator to join our dynamic team. This position will commence early term 4 in our three year old program.In this role you will be expected to:
- support high quality programs, reflecting a sound understanding of early childhood development
- support open ended, play based experiences based on the children’s interests to support individual development
- provide an inclusive environment in which all children are supported to participate and achieve their full potential
- create a welcoming, caring and supportive environment
- maintain regular and positive contact with parents, to foster strong relationships with families
- work in a cooperative, flexible and professional manner with children, families, staff and Canterbury and District Preschool Committee of Management.
- work collaboratively with team members
- provide a safe and healthy environment
- to be able to work autonomously, be self -motivated and demonstrate initiative
- have demonstrated ability to problem solve
Qualifications
- A Certificate 3 or Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or ACECQA equivalent.
- Working with Children Check
- Current first aid, anaphylaxis, asthma, child protection
- A thorough understanding of the National Quality Framework and Learning Frameworks and the Child Safe Standards.
