Fixed Term Maternity Cover (12 months)
We are looking for applicants to a fixed term appointment (maternity) for a rewarding role during an exciting period of change at CCCU.
Applications are invited from individuals with experience in student records management to provide leadership to the Student Records and Registration function within Registry Services.
The Student Records and Registration Team is responsible for the student record and related processes, including university-wide student-facing operations such as student registration, smartcard production, re-registration, student module choice, changes to study and the production of official documentation such as transcripts.
The role holder will be critical to the effective delivery and embedding of new processes and ways of working as part of our Modernising our Student Information Project (MOSI), as we implement SITS as the new student record system
The Role
Head of Student Records and Registration is an exciting role, which provides leadership to the team and the wider university in relation to student record management during a period of change within the University.
This maternity cover will be particularly crucial to the success of the implementation of a new student records system (SITS) over the next 12 months as the University is part-way through the Modernising Our Student Information (MOSI) programme.
This is a critical role for keeping abreast of external developments that impact student record management including statutory reporting (Data Futures), data quality, student finances, equality and diversity legislation, UKVI compliance and GDPR in the context of student records. The role holder is responsible for setting and maintaining policy related to student records in response to these developments.
The role holder will draw on previous knowledge and experience of managing student records within a further or higher education setting to provide effective leadership to these critical processes to the student experience.
Requirements
You will be qualified to degree level (or equivalent qualification/experience) and have significant experience of student and academic administration at a management level, including developing and applying policy, procedures, and regulations. You should have demonstrable experience of successfully improving processes and procedures to support the staff and student experience. Experience of SITS and/or implementation of new student record systems would be advantageous. You should be able to manage change, lead and motivate a team, and be able to work with complex IT systems.
