Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for an Import/Export customer-oriented service representative. They would be responsible for performing all customer service activities including responding to inquiries, order processing and handling complaints in a prompt, courteous and effective manner. Handle customer orders in a manner that adheres to company procedures. Other responsibilities include phone duties, greeting visitors, and all clerical duties as directed by the Warehouse Manager.

More specifically for the Import/Export Role:

Daily Responsibilities

Manage large amounts of incoming calls and emails

Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction

Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication

Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using the right methods/tools

Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to ensure resolution

Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts and file documents

Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies

Take the extra mile to engage customers

Qualifications and Education Requirements

High School Diploma preferred, Bilingual a plus, but not required

Preferred Skills

Proven export order processing or experience as a customer service representative in similar role

Ability to manage large volume of emails

Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening

Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters

Excellent communication skills

Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

Willingness to learn new processes and cross train as needed
