Canadian Vintage Landscaping Hiring for Landscaping Crew Foreman Full Time

Brief Description:

Our role of Foreman is responsible for the general management of the team on a daily basis. Our foreman will motivate our team to achieve a high quality of workmanship, timeliness and value for our customer, while communicating in a positive and productive manner to our team members. Our foreman will be expected to apply their trade skills into each job and have direct responsibility for the complex and technical aspects of customer projects.

General Tasks:

· Ensuring all safety protocols are followed at all times. This will be accomplished through pre-shift Safety Talks

· Ensuring all daily paperwork is submitted to leadership to track safety records, expenses, etc.

· Maintaining the schedule of each project in alignment with customer expectations

· Communicating progress, challenges, resources needs to leadership on an ongoing basis to achieve project timelines and customer expectations

· Maintaining a clean and organized job site during working hours and leaving each and every day with the job site tidy and orderly

· Coordinate with project managers, trucking, and subcontractors for site time-lines, deliveries, obstacles, and inspection of completed work

· Source materials and equipment from alternative suppliers based on project location and availability

· Work is labour intensive and will be outdoors in all weather conditions

· Read and install landscape plans to specifications and scheduled time-lines

Role Requirements:

· 5+ years hardscape experience; specifically in masonry, brick work and retaining walls

· 3+ years of team managerial experience

· Valid and clean driver’s license

· First Aid Certification

· Equipment use experience with applicable certifications; specifically in skid steer and excavator

· Trailer use experience

· Physically capable with the ability to lift 50lbs, Bend, rotate and stand for long periods of time

Required PPE:

· Steel toed boots

· Safety glasses

· Hearing protection

· Gloves

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $26.00-$31.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• Every Weekend
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• St. Albert, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

• Landscaping, brick work,: 3 years (required)
