Canadian Steam Ltd Hiring for Journeyman/woman Millwright at Surrey, BC Full Time

Purpose of Position:

We are looking for a seasoned millwright looking with a strong ability to troubleshoot, fabricate and organize. This individual should enjoy working with their hands, have strong attention to detail, and bring a keen mind to work. Each day is an opportunity to learn something new because we work at numerous sites on a wide large variety of equipment. Additionally, we have equipment of our own that needs to be maintained, and we invest resources in putting together customized equipment packages.

Summary of Essential Job Functions:

• Troubleshoot issues with customer’s plant equipment (e.g. pumps, motors, autoclaves), perform repairs, and recommend remedial work to be completed or parts that need to be replaced
• Develop, implement, and manage preventive maintenance process for company-owned industrial equipment, and manage spare parts
• Spearhead fabrication of tanks, and work to assemble portable equipment in trailer/containers
• Assist in repairs and alterations to boilers
• Organize shop, equipment, and machinery for fabrication and manufacturing flow

Required Qualifications:

• Red Seal Millwright
• Experience working with boilers, pumps, and motors
• Able to take initiative and work independently at times
• Excellent organizational, problem solving and communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License

Preferred Qualifications:

• Highly preferred to have strong experience in stainless steel welding
• Experience performing boiler and gas annual inspections
• Work experience as a pipe fitter, welder, or NDT
• 4th Class Power Engineers Certification
• Independent and dependable self-starter
• Occupational First Aid 1, H2S, Working at Heights, Confined Space Entry

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $37.00-$48.00 per hour
