The work location is at Nunavik and the normal work schedule is on a rotation of 6 weeks: 3 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 3 weeks for rest.

Future challenges

Under the responsibility of the line supervisor, the Mobile Service Storekeeper is actively involved in the operational activities of the garage tool store. He collaborates closely with different trades of the garage but also with those of the warehouse department and external customers. More specifically, he will:

Ensure that tools are well stored in lockers and drawers, and that they are clean and functional.

Verify the availability and replenishment of the equipment in the store.

Receive and verify the returned tools after usage and properly stores them.

Maintain a record of tools loaned to users, ensure that a return date is scheduled and verify the borrower’s contact information for a proper follow up.

Bring back non-repairable tools to replace them.

Inspect all lifting accessories (sling, sling, shackle etc.) and keep the register book up to date.

Make sure that hazardous products are stored in the appropriate cabinet and that different products stored are not incompatible with each other.

Respect the periodic inspection of the garage tools as per the inspection schedule.

Meet the company’s health and safety requirements and recommendations.

Perform other related tasks associated with this position.

Profile required

Hold a high school diploma.

Minimum 2 years of experience in managing a tool store.

Good knowledge of MS Office suite software.

Bilingualism (French and functional English) an asset.

Hold a Valid class 5 driver’s licence.
