Canadian Light Source Inc. Hiring for Software Analyst Summer Student at Saskatoon, SK Full Time

The Canadian Light Source Inc. (CLSI) is the national synchrotron research facility on the University of Saskatchewan campus in Saskatoon. This facility produces high-intensity synchrotron light, millions of times brighter than sunlight, to explore the nature and structure of molecules and serves national and international users from academia, industry, and government institutions. The CLS facilitates scientific research aimed at finding solutions for global challenges in agriculture, health, advanced materials, and the environment.

The Canadian Light Source is currently recruiting for a Software Analyst Summer Student within the Systems Technology Department. Reporting to the Software Development Lead, this position will be a full-time summer position starting on Monday, May 2nd and concluding on Wednesday, August 31st or as discussed with the direct supervisor.

Position Summary:
Develop software on a team of developers. Coordinate or work independently on tasks to completion

Working in web development with a focus on Python/Django, Javascript, and HTML with the possibility of working within the MERN stack (MongoDB, ExpressJS, ReactJS, NodeJS)

Support, maintain and deploy existing solutions

Write clean, maintainable, scalable, and tested software

Work collaboratively and iteratively to build solutions that help achieve our corporate objectives

Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Engineering, or Computer programming Polytechnic Program.

Students must have completed at least one year of University/College and be registered to pursue their studies in the upcoming fall semester.

Ability to work within a fast-paced team environment

Ability and willingness to adjust to changing priorities

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to work within a group and independently.

Remuneration: Remuneration is consistent with the University of Saskatchewan Undergraduate Student Assistant Rates.
