Job Description

Statement of Purpose:

The Regional Director of Prevention will direct, supervise, and train Program Managers and oversee CAN Community Health, Inc.’s prevention and education efforts in the geographic markets that they are assigned.

Essential Functions: Regional Director of HIV Prevention & Education

• Directs all community engagement efforts. Works as a liaison between CAN and organizations involved in community planning and development forums.
• Support and assist prevention and executive teams with programmatic expansion of services and community engagement.
• Contributes to strategic planning efforts across the organization, developing written plans and goals, and helping to drive multi-layer strategies from planning to implementation.
• Ensures all funded and unfunded programs follow established standards and frameworks, including workplans, budgets, project organization and governance structures, communication, change management, and performance.
• Monitor and maintain project plans, budgets, and expenditures; develop program strategies.
• Consistent monitoring of project reporting, and up to date recordkeeping and documentation for all programs.
• Resolves problems and ensures compliance with regulations and standards.
• Organize or participate in programmatic stakeholder meetings and community engagement and outreach.
• Undertake and/or delegate additional project task as required.
• Supervise, coach, and mentor Program Managers, and other staff members as needed.
• Facilitate collaboration and best practice sharing among program managers.
• Build and maintain relationships with prevention staff, CAN leadership and staff members within the organization, and external clients and partners.
• Remains current on industry trends, research, and new methodologies.
• Monitors and assist in the recruitment of Program Managers and Program Specialist.
• Promotes and practices CAN Community Health Inc’s mission and values and follows its policies and procedures.
• Ensures confidentiality is maintained by entire team regarding patient/client information in accordance with HIPAA, professional and departmental standards.

Education/Professional: Regional Director of HIV Prevention & Education

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school or equivalent experience in social and public healthcare services.
• HIV/STI programing experience
• Personnel and program management experience.

Work Environment: Regional Director of HIV Prevention & Education

• This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, audio visual, telephones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

• Neat, professional appearance.
