Camilla Hiring for Payables Officer Job at Australia Full Time

The CAMILLA tribe is on the hunt to find a Payables Officer to join and grow within the Finance Tribe!
CAMILLA is one of the most iconic Australian retailers in the market, and with our expansion overseas we are looking to truly colour the world. Our Finance tribe is now looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join them in their fast-paced team.
Our Finance tribe underpins everything we do at CAMILLA and supports our Australian and overseas ventures. The Payables Officer reports directly to the Finance Manager and works closely with the team to, amongst others, provide accounting support to the whole business and ensure the effective operation of the Payables function. We are looking for someone who is hungry to take on the opportunities a fast-growing international business presents them and fits the amazing culture we have bred at CAMILLA.
So, what does our Payables Officer do on a day-to-day basis?

• Process invoices – set up, capture, match / verify, review, circa 80-100 per week
• Track expenses and process expense reports
• Obtain authorisation for payments with CFO, FC & Tribe Leaders
• Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
• Process international supplier payments, predominantly production invoices
• Investigate, resolve, and respond to invoice discrepancies and issues
• Assist with month end close and provide accurate supporting documentation for audits
• Ensure supplier information is updated in the accounting system in a timely and accurate manner
• Reconcile supplier statements and maintain records of supplier advance payments
• Weekly payment runs, ensuring payment terms are met, and remittances issued
• Managing the Payables mailbox and resolve queries timeously to support the broader team

What are we looking for in our next tribe member?

• Previous experience in similar role, preferably in a company with inventory
• An individual who is looking to grow and develop in their next role
• Strong attention to detail and ability to problem solve
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider team
• Intermediate computer software skills, including Excel
• Previous ERP experience: knowledge of NetSuite / Oracle will be highly regarded
• Task focused with an affinity for working towards deadlines
• A passion for retail fashion and CAMILLA in particular
