Cambridge Quantum Computing Hiring for Quantum Software Internship Job at Cambridge, East of England, England Full Time

As part of our mission to expand our world class team Cambridge Quantum Computing’s compiler development team is searching for an Intern. This hire will develop tools and techniques to benchmark the performance of our Tket compiler. You will work with research scientists to develop experiment workflows, and with software developers to automate and effectively present the experiments.

The successful candidate will join the office in Cambridge and will be working in a highly dynamic, development-focused group. You will have substantial freedom to propose solutions, and plenty of room for professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Build on and explore existing software benchmarking techniques.
• Communicate with software developers and research scientists to create useful tools.

Key Requirements

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Have completed or are studying towards a degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Science, or Engineering.
• Software development experience, in particular with Python or similar.
• Experience with version control and project management tools
• Right to work in the UK – Sponsorship is not available

Desirable Skills

• Knowledge of quantum computing, quantum algorithms, or quantum information.
• Experience with front-end web development technologies and with deploying web applications.
