We have a number of an exciting opportunities on our day and afternoon shifts as a Welder. We are a specialized weld shop who deals with high grade material looking for someone high grade to join our team and grow.

About the Position:
A Welder is responsible to fabricate and weld a variety of custom metal projects. Welders use technical skills, drawings, schematics, specific welding processes and other documentation to maintain quality and meet company standards.
Hours of Work:
Day Shift: 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM (Monday – Thursday) 40 Hours per week
Afternoon Shift: 3:30 PM to 1:30 AM (Monday – Thursday) 40 Hours per week (1/2 hour paid lunch)
What you will be doing:
Welding a variety of metals according to drawings and specifications including advanced projects (round).
Be accurate, organized and have a methodical approach.
Clear understanding of welding, manufacturing prints, and fit process (layout, Q/A check, Fit, Q/A Check).
Accurately fit and build various sized sub-assemblies using (imperial and metric) within required tolerances.
Grinds, cleans, and repairs own welds from the fitting process, replacing parent metal as require with grinders, scrapers, wire brush and/or chipping hammer.
Follows Cambridge Pro Fab Inc. Safe work practices and promote safe work practices
Assist others as needed.
Work with new hires training and developing their skill sets.
Purge weld tube.
Process jobs from start to finish with minimal assistance.

REQUESTED SKILLS
What you bring to Filor
Some of your own tools (minimum required).
3+ years welding experience is required.
Able to work at heights and confined spaces.
CWB and TSSA certified and/or able to pass CWB and TSSA testing.
Experience operating tools and equipment such as lift trucks, overhead cranes, scissor lifts, welding and cutting equipment.
Safety conscious work habits.
Effective communication skills (both written & verbal).
Accountable and able to work in a team or with minimum supervision.
Willing to work different shifts and extra hours as required.
