Corporate Accountant – Contract Consulting Position

Are you an expert consolidations accountant with experience with large acquisitions and integration projects?

Camber Consulting LLC is hiring an employee to help our client integrate its large acquisitions onto its accounting platform. Our client is a large high-growth, fast-moving technology world-leading software company. The right candidate for this role will have mastered accounting for large complex acquisitions.

General responsibilities:

• Work closely with the deal teams to understand accounting implications of acquisitions.
• Develop or assist in the calculation of purchase accounting journal entries.
• Support the external reporting team on financial statement impacts of acquisitions.
• Understand and document accounting policy differences between the acquired entity and acquirer, as well as calculate any resulting accounting adjustments.
• Work with acquired entity’s accounting team to understand their chart of accounts and map to acquiring company’s COA.
• Calculate accounting entries required to absorb acquired entity’s financial results prior to full integration.
• Manage the movement of subledgers to the acquiring entity’s accounting system.

Required Skills / Capabilities:

• Experience with a complex consolidations accounting scenarios including acquisitions with a large number of foreign subsidiaries.
• Deep understanding of purchase accounting.
• Thorough knowledge of acquisitions accounting best practices.
• Strong communication and cross-group collaboration skills.

Education and Experience

• 5-10 years accounting experience with a focus on acquisitions accounting required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related degree required.
• Sophisticated understanding of large ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, etc. required.
• Public accounting experience and CPA preferred.

Term/Rate:

This role is full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) but temporary in nature and expected to last twelve months with possible extensions.

Rate: $80 – $90 per hour
