Cam-Scott Transport Ltd. Hiring for Customer Service Dispatch Assistant at Whitby, ON Full Time

Welcome to Cam-Scott Transport Ltd., a family run business since 1985 specializing in providing safe, on-time and reliable delivery of temperature sensitive goods – fresh, frozen, and dry loads. We are currently looking for a Customer Service/Dispatch Assistant at our Corporate Offices in Whitby, Ontario.

In this role, you will be responsible for entering loads into our systems, accepting customer tenders for loads, ensuring rates are correct, coordinating with Dispatch to ensure all accessorial charges are added to orders, ensure all Interline information is included (rates, etc.) ensure all paperwork is submitted to billing, assistance with Overages/Shortages/Damages, working with drivers, monitor/update customer logistic portals to ensure all information is complete, oversee routes of pickup and delivery and tracking the status of loads, tracking and updating of data to customers and system, prioritizing customers and responding in an efficient amount of time, back up for answering phones and all other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have dispatch experience, customer service experience, the ability to work in fast paced situations, able to stay calm under pressure, excellent time management skills, effective communication skills, good judgment, tact, and diplomacy when dealing with people both in-house and outside contacts and experience using Excel and Word. Hours of operation for this position is 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Salary: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
