Calvert Internal Medicine Group Hiring for Allergy Coordinator, LPN Full Time

Are you an LPN looking to join a friendly, professional, & supportive medical practice look no further. Calvert Internal Medicine Group, an extensive medical practice serving southern MD, is looking for Allergy Coordinator to join our team.

The Allergy Coordinator will perform nursing and administrative duties to ensure patients receive quality services while in our office.

Accountabilities

• Assists patients with any questions or concerns regarding their allergy serum.
• Conducts training for medical assistants with administering allergy injections as requested.
• Initiates order form for Allergist as needed by creating Triage in EMR system.
• Checks messages in EHR daily and respond/document daily.
• Orders and maintains supply/resupply of all skin test extracts, serum extracts/venoms, and patient’s serum.
• Performs subcutaneous injections in accordance with best practices and CIMG policies/procedures.
• Makes allergy serums weekly when Allergist is in the office.
• Maintains patient log of pending and completed serum as needed.
• Reviews serums, testing materials, and allergy extracts to ensure supplies have not expired monthly for designated work location.
• Complies with OSHA standards.
• Performs Opening/Closing QA duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• HS or equivalent required.
• Active and in good standing LPN or RN license with the Maryland Board of Nursing with phlebotomy skills required.
• Strong communication, active listening, time management, attention to detail, organizational, and multi-tasking skills a must.
• At least 1-year previous experience working in an allergy medical office setting preferred.

This position will be located in our Prince Frederick office.
