About the role
Reporting to the Regional Director People & Culture, our Human Resources (HR) Consultant is responsible for the provision of advice, coaching and support to people leaders across the full breadth of People & Culture (P&C) activities, and in accordance with relevant legislation, Enterprise Agreements, Awards, policies and procedures. As part of the Vic/Tas Regional P&C team, this position will also liaise with the national and other regional P&C teams for effective implementation and provision of HR services.
Our new HR Consultant will join a high performing and supportive People & Culture team of nine, ensuring the successful candidate will have a smooth transition into Calvary. The role will work closely with our other Tasmania based HR Consultant, providing HR services to Calvary’s hospitals (St Vincent’s; St Luke’s; St John’s and Lenah Valley), aged care facilities (Sand Hill and Riverside Views) and the Community Care service centre in Launceston.
This is a permanent, full time role (0.8 FTE will be considered). This role is located in Launceston with flexibility to work from home, with travel required to sites as needed.
What you bring
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management or related field, or demonstrated equivalent skills, knowledge and experience
Demonstrated experience working as a generalist HR professional in a complex organisation
Demonstrated understanding of, and experience in the interpretation and application of employment legislation, enterprise agreements, policies and procedures
Demonstrated ability to lead and undertake workplace investigations and disciplinary processes
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain trusted, collaborative and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with experience in preparation of written briefs/reports for senior leaders, and in delivering presentations to internal stakeholders
A current and valid Driver’s Licence
