Our Federal Government client is seeking the following experienced contractors to join their Digital Trade Initiative Division:

• 2 x APS 6 Finance Officers | Budget and ing
• 1 x EL 1 Senior Project Finance Officer | Digital Business Division

Duties And Responsibilities

APS 6 Finance Officers | Budget and ing

• Deliver accurate and timely month end ing in accordance with month end ing timetables, including the analysis of business risks
• Aid the division’s streams in the development of budgets and forecasts to ensure they reflect business plans
• Undertake month end processes including commitment ing, accruals, and reconciliations

EL 1 Senior Project Finance Officer | Digital Business Division

• Provide advice on department and government financial management, financial services, cost recovery and/or external budget related matters
• Assess and evaluate financial matters, initiatives and projects, and identify opportunities for continuous improvements
• Influence strategic financial outcomes within the boundaries of the Australian Government Financial Framework
• Work in lock-step with the quarterly planning and keep connected to the financial management and ing, enabling you to plan and deliver strategic ICT resource procurement outcomes for the division

Skills & Experience

APS 6 Finance Officers | Budget and ing

• Demonstrated management accounting experience in a government or commercial environment
• Confident in using complex Financial Management Information systems
• Proficient with MS Office suite, including Excel and Word
• A diploma or bachelor’s degree in commerce, accounting, finance, business or a related field

EL 1 Senior Project Finance Officer | Digital Business Division

• Knowledge of the Australian Government financial framework, financial ing and/or budget process
• Ability to interpret and analyse financial data and prepare briefing papers
• Demonstrated experience using and maintaining financial systems (Technology One)
• Knowledge of, and experience in, the Commonwealth public sector financial accounting framework
• Knowledge of, and experience in, the application of Financial Policy including the PGPA Act, PGPA Rule, Commonwealth Procurement Rules and/or Commonwealth Grants Rules and Guidelines and/or WoAG Travel Policies
• Demonstrated experience in government procurement and contract management (ICT environment desirable), including the use of government panels
• Tertiary qualifications in commerce, procurement, economics, accounting, finance, business, law or a related field
