This organisation is the world’s leading metallographic equipment and consumables brand. With ongoing expansion in Australia and New Zealand, there is a fantastic opportunity for an Area Sales Manager to join the team and manage the Victorian and New Zealand region.

ing to the National Sales Manager, the Area Sales Manager will be responsible for maintaining existing customers through consumable orders whilst hunting for new business opportunities.

The Area Sales Manager will work through a number of industries from manufacturing, engineering services and the education sector with a number of leading Australian Universities investing in the number one brand in the world.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a defined sales territory in Australia and New Zealand via face-to-face meetings and ongoing phone calls
  • Develop new business opportunities and lead generation in existing, new and emerging markets
  • Maintain regular touch points with existing and potential customers to provide prompt solutions
  • Provide in person training and support to customers including assistance to get new machinery up and running
  • Support the brand awareness by attending and presenting at the companies’ demonstrations, workshops and training courses
  • Travel interstate and to New Zealand on a semi-regular basis to ensure high levels of service and business growth

Essential Criteria:

  • 3 – 5+ years’ experience working as Sales or Territory Manager ideally selling a technical solution
  • A degree in Engineering would be highly regarded
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to present to senior and technical stakeholders
  • A track record of meeting sales targets and maintaining high levels of customer service
  • Ability to travel interstate and to New Zealand on a semi-regular basis
