Job Summary

The Student Success Support Analyst serves as primary support for the Associate Dean for Enrollment Management and the Supervisor for Personnel and Curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

The Analyst gathers resource data in areas of scheduling, enrollment, curriculum, personnel, and hiring. Compiles and analyzes data for historical trend tracking, and crafts reports and presentations. Updates and maintains college data tracking spreadsheets and file records. Provides continuity in policy and procedures, processes all assignments, meets all deadlines, and completes all paperwork required. Communicates and disseminates information to college departments and to various units in the University. Provides support in the hiring process, document review, contract dissemination and review for CSULB and the College (Summer, Winter and Special Sessions). Analyzes faculty workloads and tracks entitlements provides information to supervisor. Compiles statistics for Tenure Track hiring proposals. Reviews curriculum forms submitted by departments for accuracy. Tracks all college curriculum forms and proposals during the curriculum cycle, and prepares and submits the final report.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Advanced problem-solving and organizational skills are required in the administration of the varied tasks performed in this position.

Working knowledge of statistical principles and procedures, including methods of frequency series, data, simple correlation methods, sampling techniques, and construction of index numbers.

Ability to prepare questionnaires, gather and analyze research data, and compile data for reports and summaries in tabular, graphic, and pictorial form. Ability to prepare clear and concise reports.

Demonstrates leadership skills, works independently, and is a good team member.

Ability to delegate tasks, multitask, and prioritize to meet deadlines.

Ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with program faculty, academic departments, the dean’s office, and a variety of offices and individuals on and off campus.

Demonstrates advanced proficiency with several different data systems and software including CSlink, EAB, PeopleSoft, AD- Astra, Tableau, Excel, Powerpoint, Qualtrics and SPSS. Working knowledge of Windows, Word, Wordpress, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and E-mail.

Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student, and assist in achieving the university’s commitment to a “vision of excellence.”

Education and Experience

Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of related experience required. Academic department or program experience preferred

Compensation

$3,288 to $4,053 per month, based on qualifications. The salary range for this classification is $3,288 to $6,347 per month.

Time Base

Full-time temporary position to June 30, 2022 with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.
