The School of Education at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer for Fall 2022 to teach EDSS 544A: Secondary Social Studies Education Methods. The course meets Tuesdays from 5:00 p.m. to 6:50 p.m. The candidate should have recent/current experience teaching single subject history/social science coursework at the high school level including work with special populations (English Learners and Special needs). This position is a mandated reporter position.
Minimum qualifications:
A master’s degree in education or related field,
California Single Subject Credential
At least 5 years of teaching experience
Knowledge of and experience with culturally relevant curriculum, co-teaching, Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Understanding by Design (UbD)
