Calibre Search Looking for Senior Highways Engineer – Asset Management at North West Full Time

Due to increased workload a Tier one Consultancy is looking for a Senior Highways Engineer with Asset Management experience to join their large Manchester team. As a Senior Engineer you will be given the chance to work closely with Large Clients and further strengthen them relationships, lead multi-disciplinary design teams and collaborate with experienced engineers on a wide variety of frameworks.

The workload includes a large amount of work with Local Authorities across Greater Manchester, National Highways MAC/ASC maintenance contracts and National Highways Major Projects and Infrastructure. Whilst working on these schemes you will assist in the preparation and monitoring of the budget for projects including the planning, monitoring and reporting of project resources.

To be successful in the application for this role you will be expected to be Chartered with an appropriate professional body, have a proven ability and experience of working within Asset Management of Highways Schemes and be able to demonstrate an expert understanding of technical standards and Construction Regulations.

Requirements

• You have a Bachelors or Masters degree in an appropriate subject
• Have Chartered or Incorporated status held with an appropriate professional body
• You are an accredited trainer with a relevant professional institution, e.g. Delegated Engineer for the Institution of Civil Engineers
• You can demonstrate developed experience and expertise within the relevant technical field, probably gained in a Civil Engineer role or equivalent
• You can demonstrate an ability to produce or oversee the production of technically sound engineering solutions, complying with all relevant technical standards and client requirements
• You are experienced in undertaking project related tasks associated with health, safety, and welfare, e.g. Construction (Design and Management) Regulations
• You are experienced in the application of technical governance procedures within a consulting engineering environment
• You know technical governance procedures and how they are applied within a consulting engineering environment
