Calibre Search Looking for Senior Highway Engineer at North West Full Time

A vacancy for a Senior Highway Engineer has become available in City Centre Manchester, this role is within an independent consultancy that has 45 members of staff across its 3 offices. They can offer you unrivalled control on a great variety of highways projects.

These include Bypass designs, Junction improvements, Roundabout designs, and road adoptions. You will be designing these schemes using software’s such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D. As a Senior Engineer in this consultancy you will still be heavily involved in detailed & feasibility design but you will be also leading a team of junior engineers and technicians to assist you.

Specific objectives include:

• Providing a high-level technical service
• Providing support, training and guidance to other staff
• Developing and retaining specialist knowledge in certain areas
• Reporting to the highway’s director
• Liaising with other discipline team leaders to ensure technical integration and Financial and commercial management.
• Experience of working in a highway design office is essential, typically with at least 10 years’ practical design experience.
