Calibre Search Looking for Senior Geotechnical Engineer at Northampton, Northamptonshire Full Time

My client is one of the most well-respected SME bespoke Geotechnical and Geo-Environmental Consultancies situated in Northampton that is implementing a strategic growth plan with a new Senior Geotechnical Engineer to help technical delivery of projects (more office based).

Once you have settled into the role as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will be required to manage complex Geo-Environmental Engineering and Geotechnical projects from tender stage through to remediation/Validation. This will include the design & management of ground investigations, risk assessment on contamination datasets, writing technical reports, remedial strategies and validation reports. You will also gain exposure with geotechnical interpretation and design for building developments.

Currently as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you must be a confident well rounded Geotechnical/Geo-Environmental Engineer. You should be able to produce phase 1 desk top studies, design and manage site investigation activities (Inc Trial Pitting, Gas Monitoring etc. It is essential that you can comfortably write high quality Geo-Environmental and/or Geotechnical interpretive reports.

The ideal Senior Geotechnical Engineer candidate will have:

• Degree in a relevant Geology/Civil Engineering discipline and have obtained an MSc.
• Proven track record in geo environmental work and experience across a range of projects, ideally gained within a consulting environment
• Experience of planning, managing, supervising and interpreting ground investigation data, in relation to contamination aspects
• Excellent report writing
