Calibre Search Looking for Principal Highway & Traffic Engineer at City of London, London Full Time

I am currently working with a consultancy that is rapidly expanding an already established team in Central London. This consultancy work across the UK on a number of Traffic & Highways schemes with Local Authorities, Highways England and key contractors on major D&B schemes. They are looking for 3 Principal Engineers to join their London team to take the lead on these schemes and offer their expertise to junior engineers and technicians.

As a Principal Engineer you will need to be already Chartered with the ICE and have a proven track record of project leadership, demonstrating a good understanding of detailed design, project management and client liaison to deliver these key schemes across the South East including Cycleways, Bus Priority Routes, Traffic Calming and road alignments.

Key Requirements

• Chartered Engineer with the Institute of Engineers (ICE)
• BSc, BEng, or higher degree in Civil Engineering
• Detailed design experience using AutoCAD, Civil 3D etc.
• Significant experience of highway technical design on major projects including a good understanding of design principles and the ability to practically apply them, knowledge of standard engineering practices and a demonstrable understanding of Health and Safety including CDM
• Good communication skills including the preparation of technical reports
• Experience of managing design teams
