Calibre Search Looking for Principal Geotechnical Engineer at Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire Full Time

I am looking to speak with a Principal Geotechnical Engineering opportunity for a small scale, international design consultancy in Milton Keynes. You will have major influence over the growth of the UK business with the opportunity to deliver projects within the UK and South Africa.

You will be sitting directly under the UK director bridging the gap between the design engineers helping to deliver complex geotechnical design projects from fee proposals through to conceptual/detailed design and construction.

Your key responsibilities as a Principal Geotechnical Engineer will surround management of projects on all technical, commercial, and financial basis, management/development of junior engineers, business development and help with office growth.

The technical responsibilities of a Principal Geotechnical Engineer surround, desk studies, ground modelling, analysis/design of slopes, retaining walls, analysis and design of slopes, retaining walls and foundations, writing Geotechnical Interpretive Reports, Geotechnical Design Reports and Earthworks Specifications, evaluating site conditions to assist in optimizing decision and design requirements and modelling various geotechnical conditions using applicable computer software.

As a Principal Geotechnical Engineer you must have a BEng in Geology or Civil Engineering with a Geotechnical Bias, as well as an MEng/MSc in Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology. A Chartership is also required, as is a full clean UK driving license.
