I am looking to speak with a graduate geotechnical engineers and engineering geologists to join our 50-strong team of specialists providing geotechnical and engineering geological consultancy services based in Harrogate.
The responsibilities as a graduate geotechnical engineer to a range of engineering problems and have opportunities to gain practical responsibility from the outset. Working across teams of ground engineering specialists, you will plan and undertake office and site-based work, complete investigations, assessments and interpretative reports, meet clients, and undertake detailed design and construction supervision on our broad range of geotechnical engineering and engineering geology projects.
Our ideal graduate geotechnical engineer will have a 2(i) or 1st MEng, MGeol, MSci, or BSc + MSc in civil engineering, geotechnics or engineering geology and be able to demonstrate:
* A strong interest in geotechnical engineering / engineering geology and a track record of related experience in an academic and/or industrial context.
* Written and verbal communication skills.
* Numerical and analytical engineering skills and keen observational skills.
* Flexibility to work on site and overseas and eligible to work in the UK.
* Permanent position with highly competitive (upper quartile) annual base salary, subject to experience and qualifications (based on 37.5h week).
* 33 days holiday p.a. (includes eight public holidays).
