Calibre Search Looking for Geotechnical Engineer at Manchester, Greater Manchester Full Time

I am looking to speak with a Geotechnical Engineer with a civil design background, highly numerical to work on some of the most challenging projects Geotechnical have to offer within the UK and oversees.

You will come in as a Geotechnical Engineer, be situated within a tight knit Geotechnical design team within a multi-disciplinary environmental delivering everything from transportation through to power on a framework, design and build and sharp end (contractor) design.

Your Geotechnical Engineer responsibilities will surround management and delivery of technical projects working across disciplines. Your technical delivery will be solving extremely complex problems with sustainable and numerical solutions using geotechnical and FE software.

Geotechnical designs including all but not limited too; Preparing calculations, drawings and other documents relating to all foundation types, temp/permanent works, retaining walls/structures, slopes, soil nails, piles, earthworks, embankments etc.

Geotechnical Engineer Specification

• Civil background coupled with a Geotechnical MSc
• 2 years UK consultancy Geotechnical Engineer design experience
• Ideally experience within rail or highways although other sectors are considered.
• Geotechnical software experience
• Ideally FE experience
• Commutable distance from Manchester although hybrid working is considered.
