Calibre Search Looking for Geo-Environmental Engineer (Intermediate to Senior) at Sheffield, South Yorkshire Full Time

One of Yorkshires largest and most respected Civil, Structural and Geo-Environmental/Geotechnical Consultancies require a Geo-Environmental Engineer (Intermediate to Senior) to join a well experienced small team of Geo-Environmental Engineers to help with the delivery of a wide range of projects including small to large scale buildings, infrastructure, power, and renewables.

Once feet are under the table as a Geo-Environmental Engineer (Intermediate to Senior), you will have the responsibility to run with your own projects from inception through to completion including all procurement, costing, program and reporting with a full support network. Site work varies but sits at around the 20% mark as your role will focus around project and team management.

The technical responsibilities and development as a Geo-Environmental Engineer (Intermediate to Senior) surround both Geo-Environmental and Geotechnical advice including phase 1, design/manage ground investigations, phase 2 interpretive reporting (combined), risk assessments, remedial methods, validations, geotechnical foundation recommendation/design, geotechnical foundation calculations (bearing capacity, settlement calculations), earthwork specifications etc.

The ideal Geo-Environmental Engineer (Intermediate to Senior) candidate will have:

• Degree in a relevant environmental science/engineering discipline and have obtained an MSc (Beneficial).
• Proven track record in delivering geo-environmental and/or Geotechnical ground investigation consultancy projects.
• Experience of planning, managing, supervising and interpreting ground investigation data, in relation to contamination and geotechnical aspects.
• Experience writing phase 1 and phase 2 interpretive reporting.
• Drive and ambition to run your own projects
• UK driving licence
