Calibre Search Looking for Contract Geotechnical Engineer at Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear Full Time

I am looking to speak with a Contract Geotechnical Engineer that has a wealth of experience within design across UK transportation infrastructure and buildings for a long-term contract within the Newcastle region paying between £40-£50 hour.

As a Contract Geotechnical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work for a well respected global multi disciplinary consultancy, delivering some of the UK’s most renowned schemes. You will be sat within a team of real technical depth helping to deliver technical reports as well as preliminary and detailed design.

Design responsibilities as a Contract Geotechnical Engineer surround; foundations (deep/shallow), all pile groups, retaining structures/walls, slopes, soil nailing, basements, gantries, earthworks etc. It will be expected that you assist on technical reporting surrounding; Interpretation, GIR, GDR and others relative reports.

Contract Geotechnical Engineer Specification:

• Degree qualified within Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering whilst ideally obtaining an MSc in Geotechnical Engineering or Soil Mechanics etc.
• 6+ years’ experience within UK Geotechnical Design within a consultancy environment
• Design experience within a wide variety of Geotechnical Designs for UK transportation and/or building schemes.
• The use of geotechnical analytical and numerical software will be expected.
