A design-led Civil and Structural Engineering consultancy delivering projects across the UK are looking to recruit a Project Civil Engineer to join their Glasgow-based office in a permanent capacity.

The Head Office of 55+ staff is based in Glasgow, with a busy growing design studio in Manchester. As part of their continued success we are seeing a significant growth in our Civil Engineering/Development Infrastructure workload and are looking to expand this team, which currently comprises 12 technical staff across all levels.

The project growth is evolving both in Scotland and the north of England, across various sectors, including industrial & logistics, commercial offices, housing and educational campuses.

The ideal Project Civil Engineer will:

• Have experience as a Civil Design Engineer in a Consultancy environment
• Have at least 3-5 years’ experience working in Design
• Have an Engineering or Engineering-related degree
• Be proficient or have some experience in the design of roads, drainage and earthworks ideally utilising CIVILS 3D and Microdrainage software (however training in these packages can be provided as required)
• Live in commutable-distance to central Glasgow and be open to office-based working

We would expect the candidate to be working toward chartership and would provide support through our Training Agreement and through mentoring. As part of the package, dedicated ‘Development Time’ will be granted to help enable professional development and progression to chartership.

The ideal candidate will be looking for between £30,000 and £35,000, but this will vary depending on each specific applicant’s experience. Those with more experience will also be considered at a higher level if their experience is applicable.
