Calibre Search Looking for Associate Civil Engineer at Derby, Derbyshire Full Time

A rare opportunity has come around for an Associate Civil Engineer to Join a multi-disciplinary consultancy in Derby that has been established for over 20 years. They have four offices across the midland’s region, employing over 60 members of staff.

They are looking for a Chartered or near Chartered Civil Engineer, who can make this office their own and lead a team of 5 Engineers to work on some of the most prestigious projects across the UK. You will need to be a personable character with great communication skills, as networking and mentoring the younger engineers will be a huge part of your job. Bringing through the next generation of talented professionals is something you should be passionate about.

You should lead by example in your work, as they are not simply looking for a manager, you should be a hands-on Engineer, and work collaboratively with the Structural and Geotechnical team alongside your ability to manage a team. You will be involved in pre – planning engineering reports, designs of adoptable highways and drainage works, involving SuDs and private Civil Engineering works using MicroDrainage.

This position has untold potential for the right candidate, the opportunity to lead your own team and be the face of a Civils office does not come around very often. You will sit on the management board where you attend regular meetings with the directors and other associates, will have an overall input on how the company is run and what direction it goes in.
